Banana Smoothie Pineapple Spinach {Fodmap friendly}

Updated: 2019-07-24 00:03 Views: 68

There is nothing better than a green banana smoothie in the morning. I didn't use to feel that way though. Drinking spinach was never a plan of mine until I started a low fodmap diet. I started sharing my stomach issues a few weeks back and have decided to share my drinks and food concoctions along the way. This is one of my favorites! While banana is considered a low fodmap fruit, too much of it constipates me so I have to be careful how many bananas I eat. I am sure you are glad to know?about my constipation issues. haha . My husband called me the other day from work after he read my post about 'poop' (he never reads my blog so I was shocked when he called about it) and said, 'have you lost your mind talking about poop on your blog!?' I asked him why all of a sudden he is reading my posts and he saiddecorative pillow cases, 'well, the title read ' lets talk about poop'.so I was curious.' Geesh, that's what I have to share to get him interested ;).

Ingredients to mix in blender:

2 cups unsweetened almond/coconut lactose free milk (or water)

3 ice cubes

1 banana

1/2 cup pineapple

1/2 cup plain greek yogurt

1/2 cup chopped fresh spinach (I usually grab a small handful)

*This makes enough to fill my 20 ounce sip &; go cup?

I have never been good at getting my daily dose of fruits and vegetables and I must say, this idea of blending them together 1x a day is perfect for me. I try to mix them up though, sometimes I use water and other times I use the lactose free almond/coconut milk *unsweetened*. Water supposedly digests easier but I didn't feel a difference when I used the milk. It's gets a little boring using just water. Was there any greater joy as a child than a present personalized with your name? Whether a custom keychain or an initial-emblazoned backpack, these items were special because they were really, truly yours — created for you by those who knew you best.

December is?upon us, and I've already found?myself getting lost in the hustle and bustle of the season. Last night, I?sat down at our family?calendar and penciled in the simple things I didn't want to miss amid all the holiday chaos. I added dates for things like: making giant snowflakes, baking festive treats and cookies, and snuggling up to our favorite holiday movies. Sometimes the simple holiday traditions are the best,?most memorable ones.

You've addressed the last invitation, you know exactly what your bouquets and centerpieces are going to look like (down to the flower color and variation!), you've got your photographer and DJ and venue all squared away—you've pretty much got everything figured out! But don't overlook one of the most important parts of decor: the cake! And ok, maybe you're having pies, or cupcakes, or some other iteration of desserts because you're not a cake fan (we're totally into that, too) but any way you slice it (yes, we went there), you have to have a pretty display for your sweets. Ok, we know you don't have to, but we think it makes a big difference, especially if you're showcasing different kinds!
